Join a Committee

VCDP Committees meet regularly to work toward specific causes and keep the momentum going.
> This is a great option if you want to be involved on a longer- term or recurring basis.
> Committees have organized communication through the VCDP infrastructure.

Activism Committee -

Plan, coordinate, and lead impactful activism opportunities by organizing resources, rallying community turnout, and partnering with local and regional organizations.
Raise awareness about current issues or policies

Community Service Committee -

Organize and/or schedule Volunteer Days to give back to the community

Coordinated Campaign -

Recruitment, training, and support of candidates for races (municipal, county, or state)
Coordinate meet-and-greets with candidates
Help to develop and implement our campaign strategies in coordination with candidates and state party.

Finance Committee -

Responsible for the financial affairs of the party.

Host Committee -

Coordinates meeting food, drinks, snacks, etc.

Marketing & Merchandise -

Oversees VCDP branding, develops marketing strategies, and creates marketing material and merchandise designs.
Plans events for the purpose of fundraising.
Reaches out to participate in community events for voter registration booths.

Nomination Committee -

Works to identify and recruit to fill VCDP vacancies, open positions, or successors for outgoing CEC members.

Rules & Bylaws -

Administration / Operation processes of the Party, Party Rules, and Bylaws

Social Committee -

Creates and schedules social events for VCDP members to come together and build community.

Technology, Communications, & Data -

Website maintenance
Communications via newsletter, social media, email, press releases, graphic design, etc.
Help prepare data lists, block walk lists, etc., and data entry/validation.
